This week's spotlight - Connie Rose Designs
"Named after my wonderful Nana, Constance Gertrude Rose (who happens to be my number one fan and won't leave the house unless she is wearing one of my pieces), my now jewellery business began in 2003 when I moved from Yorkshire to Scotland. What started off as a hobby quickly grew into me making gifts for others (and realising not everyone may like my creations) so changes to style, design, material and sizes had to happen.
From here I started taking stalls at craft fairs and Christmas markets, which lead to joining the world of Facebook. Orders began to come in from people I had never met which is when I realised C.R.D had become a business.
I have been lucky enough to have numerous stockists, which to this day still humbles me that someone believes in my designs. I just love seeing people wear my jewellery which is payment enough, the money is just a bonus and allows me to buy more materials! I just hope people enjoy wearing my creations as much as I enjoy making them." Alison Sinclair-Macsween - Connie Rose Designs
"Each item of jewellery is unique, so you will know you are getting a one off piece, never to be recreated identically." Iain Loudon, Gallery Owner
