Less than one year after The Gallery Melrose opened its doors, owners David Wallace and Iain Loudon have now, due to great demand, fulfilled their commitment to offer a picture framing service earlier than expected.
The Gallery Melrose, situated in the Market Square in the town opened its doors in November last year and, as a new business starting up and set as a goal to offer a picture framing service within 2 years. However, in less than one year they are now able to offer a full picture framing service on the premises, having developed a work room downstairs to undertake the work.
In a short period of time the gallery has grown a reputation for offering quality works of art from painters, sculptors, wood carvers, as well as glass makers and silver jewellery crafters. At the same time they are selling a fantastic array of prints and a number of hand crafted original gifts.
David Wallace has personally worked to create a workshop and picture framing set up in an ideal space below the main gallery, adding value to the business and expanding the services offered.
“With a constant flow of customers, we have been able to develop quicker than expected to meet the demands of our customers who have requested picture framing. We are delighted to have been able to provide this much requested service,” said David Wallace.
Currently the gallery offers original work of more than 50 artists using a variety of mediums with Scottish birds and wild life being shown as a popular them for customers visiting Scotland.
Opening hours for The Gallery Melrose change by season and are currently opening Monday - Saturday from 0900–1700hrs. For further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
