Neil Hoskins

I have always had a keen interest in wood. I left school and worked for several years in the timber industry before taking a change of direction and spending the next 30 years as a professional aviator. Throughout those years I still managed to find the time to maintain and enhance my woodworking skill set. Entering semi-retirement,  whilst I was still young enough to seek other challenges, I underwent full time training in Fine Furniture Building and Design and was fortunate to receive instruction from some of the UK’s top maker/designers. I now have the time to focus my efforts in the workshop.

I am happy to take on commissions, - I can produce work in Borders sourced Scottish hardwoods or a larger selection is available from my supplier near Lake Como.

For the time being my wife and I are partly based in Northern Italy - however the long term plan is to relocate the workshop back to the Scottish Borders.
