Jeni MacNab

Ever since walking in the Scottish hills as a child I have enjoyed taking photographs and drawing but my creativity has evolved over the last few years into a professional practice. I mainly use watercolour but have also worked with other mediums including, acrylics, ink and graphite. I make prints and greeting cards from my original artwork and photography.

I also create art from old reclaimed wood and pallet-wood. I break the pallet down, sand and paint it and then use it as my canvas to paint. The end result is usually a colourful wall hanging which can vary in size from very small to very long, and something I hope is fun and light hearted. My love of the natural world and a deep connection with animals inspires and informs my art, keeping me grounded and in the present moment. Often I lose track of time as I immerse myself in the joy of my surroundings, and it is through my art that I hope to share a sense of this with others.
