Gregory Moore

Gregory is from Northern Ireland and studied at Belfast Art College where he graduated with a degree in Fine Art. His career has involved graphic design, teaching and illustration and he now lives and works as a professional artist in Glasgow.

He is a member of the Glasgow Print Studio and was their featured artist earlier this year. In 2017 Gregory won the Roy Wood prize for excellence in Printmaking at the Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition in Edinburgh and won the Derwent prize at the Paisley Art Exhibition in 2018.
Also in 2018 Gregory had one of his prints exhibited at the Royal Academy summer exhibition in London where he sold his whole print edition. He frequently teaches classes and does demonstrations for various art clubs across Scotland and on two occasions has been a guest artist at the prestigious Art in the open Plein Air Festival in Wexford. His paintings have been commissioned for a number of books and his bird illustrations were used for a series of posters for the RSPB.

His paintings are exhibited widely in galleries across Scotland and Ireland. His inspiration isdrawn from the beauty and character of the landscape and its wildlife.

He enjoys painting inoil, acrylic and pastel and always has a sketchbook at hand on his travels.
