Balfroni Scottish Jewellery
Taking my inspiration from the beautiful Scottish landscape, I create glass jewellery to reflect the beauty of nature.
I start by taking a landscape or seascape view and then I design each piece individually. Often working in small batches of 4 - 6. This process means that no two pieces are the same and each is created differently. Once the glass is set in place it is fired to a temperature of 800°C where the tiny set particles of glass fuse together and the magic of the kiln takes over. Even though the pieces are set to a design, the fusing, or melting process gives another completely different dimension. I am always excited to open the cooled kiln to see the finished jewellery.
I have always loved the medium of glass and to be able to share my art with others at an affordable cost gives me great pleasure.
